KANGAR, April 12 (Bernama) -- The Perlis Sports Council (MSN) has unveiled a fresh new identity with the adoption of its new official logo symbolising the organisation’s ongoing transformation and commitment to nurturing high-performance sports, particularly in producing world-class young athletes.

Raja Muda of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail said that the change is not merely a visual change, but a reflection of MSN's renewed spirit to remain competitive and relevant within the national sports ecosystem.

"This new logo symbolises the team’s courage, strength and determination. The lion sketch formed from the letters M-S-N-Ps not only strengthens the organisation's identity but also reflects the commitment to producing high-quality athletes up to the Olympic Games," he said.

Tuanku Syed Faizuddin said this when launching the official MSN Perlis logo here last night. Also present was Perlis Menteri Besar Mohd Shukri Ramli.

He also suggested eight key strategies to serve as a guide in building a robust athlete development ecosystem which include fostering self-discipline, mental resilience, intensive training, and the integration of sports technology.

“Never let athletes feel inferior when wearing the yellow and blue badge. The spirit of the people of Perlis is unmatched. There are no shortcuts in the world of sports, success only belongs to those who are consistent and never give up no matter how many times they fall," said the Raja Muda of Perlis.

He expressed hope that the state contingent would make history by surpassing the target of 20 gold medals at the upcoming Malaysia Games (SUKMA) in Selangor.

Notably, the Perlis contingent delivered a commendable performance at the 2024 SUKMA Games in Sarawak last August, securing a total of 43 medals—comprising 12 gold, 15 silver, and 16 bronze.
