KUALA LUMPUR, April 8 (Bernama) -- A total of 54 programmes amounting to RM1,649,195 under the National Sports Trust Fund (KWASN) have been approved this year, according to Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh.
Hannah said the approval is a testament to the ministry's commitment to supporting the development of national sporting talents.
As such, Hannah encouraged everyone who meets the criteria to apply for KWASN.
“Victory begins with a brave first step. Let us build a successful sporting nation with every talent who deserves an opportunity,” she said in a Facebook post today.
KWASN is a grant that is created to help national sports bodies and independent athletes organise programmes or sports activities at the national and international levels.
It is also designed to help athletes participate in international competitions to improve their rankings.
