PUTRAJAYA, April 13 (Bernama) — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim attended the Aidilfitri Open House hosted by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi at Sri Satria here today.
Anwar, who arrived with his wife, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, at the Deputy Prime Minister’s official residence at 7.57 pm, was welcomed by Ahmad Zahid, who is also the Minister of Rural and Regional Development, and his wife, Datin Seri Hamidah Khamis.
The event, for special guests starting at 7 pm, was also attended by Cabinet members, including Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad, as well as foreign dignitaries.
Also present were Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) Chief Executive Officer Datin Paduka Nur-ul Afida Kamaludin, Bernama Editor-in-Chief Arul Rajoo Durar Raj and Bernama Deputy Editor-in-Chief (News Service) Nasriah Darus.
Some 20,000 visitors are expected joined the festivities, with the event opened to the public from 8 pm to 11 pm.
