SINGAPORE, April 10 (Bernama) -- Singapore-based Black Group Investment Holding has acquired LifeBank Stem Cells, a distributor of stem cell banking and cellular therapy solutions, underscoring its commitment to expanding its network in support of healthy longevity and active ageing.
Black Group said the strategic acquisition, inked at the World Ageing Festival 2025 this week at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre, strengthens its distribution channel network of personalised medicine and regenerative therapies.
“By combining LifeBank’s expertise in distribution of induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) banking and mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) with Black Group’s Meditel, the partnership aims to accelerate access to breakthrough therapies for age-related conditions,” it said in a statement today.
Black Group chief investment officer Datuk Seri Alan Lee said the firm is focused on enabling a future where advanced cellular therapies are not only accessible but personalised for every stage of life.
“This is a step toward redefining care for the ageing population,” he said.
LifeBank Stem Cells managing director Victor Tan said that together with Black Group, they will expand their reach and ensure that stem cell banking and regenerative treatments become a cornerstone of healthy ageing in Singapore and beyond.
At the World Ageing Festival, Black Group also unveiled its plans for Meditel, a first-of-its-kind medical hotel in the heart of Kuala Lumpur combining regenerative medicine with luxury hospitality.
The upcoming facility will be supported by robotic-assisted care systems and AI-driven diagnostics and therapeutics, offering a holistic environment for wellness, recovery and healthy ageing.
In February, Lee announced that Black Group is investing S$100 million (RM331.45 million) to develop the facility.
In addition, Black Group announced the launch of its new innovation arm, Immortality by Black Group, which will lead the company’s efforts in advancing the longevity movement.
The entity will focus on cutting-edge cell therapy methodologies and biomedical technologies aimed at extending health span and enhancing quality of life.
