MAKKAH, May 18 (Bernama-SPA) -- Makkah's bus guidance centre for transporting pilgrims from abroad, equipped with advanced smart technology, efficiently directs buses carrying pilgrims to their accommodations in Makkah City during Hajj 1446 AH, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
Managed through an integrated control room, the centre's Arshidni—or "guide me"—smart platform works in conjunction with the Hajj and Umrah Ministry’s Nusuk Masar platform. This setup provides guides with accurate trip information for effective guidance, enabling instant communication for on-time arrivals and quick responses to emergencies.
Guides use modern tablets for real-time updates, allowing the control room to monitor bus routes live, confirm arrivals, and manage guide deployment and return.
The platform also enables guides to report issues directly, facilitating immediate intervention by the field team and optimising guide assignments while monitoring performance in real-time.
