KUALA LUMPUR, April 21 (Bernama) -- National squash player Ng Eain Yow reached a significant career milestone after breaking into the top 10 of the PSA Men’s World Rankings for the first time.
According to psasquashtour.com, the 27-year-old Malaysian moved up one spot to 10th position with a total of 559 points.
“Great news! (Eain) Yow in (the) top 10 for the very 1st time! Let’s go!!!,” said Squash Racquets Association of Malaysia (SRAM) deputy president Sharon Wee in a WhatsApp message.
Eain Yow is the third Malaysian to break into the top 10, following in the footsteps of Ong Beng Hee, who reached a career-high of number seven in 2001; and Azlan Iskandar, who hit number 10 in 2011.
Mostafa Asal, Ali Farag (both from Egypt) and Diego Elias (Peru) occupy the top three places in the world ranking respectively.
