KUALA LUMPUR, April 8 (Bernama) -- Sri Pahang FC went on a goal spree when they trounced Kedah Darul Aman (KDA) FC 6-0 in their Super League match at the Temerloh Municipal Council Stadium in Pahang today.
Pahang got the ball rolling in the 37th minute through a powerful drive by Sergio Fabian Aguero before the host doubled their lead through Aleksandar Cvetkovic in first-half injury time through a corner kick taken by Aguero.
Pahang, coached by Fandi Ahmad, made it 3-0 in the 59th minute through T. Saravanan before Aguero got his second of the night and the team's fourth eight minutes later.
The home team then made it 5-0 courtesy of an own goal by KDA FC defender Muhammad Safwan Shuhaimi in the 76th minute before Stefano Brundo wrapped up the scoring by slotting home goal number six in the 83rd minute.
The result saw Pahang move up to ninth in the 13-team Super League standings with 23 points while Kedah, who suffered their 11th defeat, remained in the bottom three with 20 points.
Earlier, Sabah FC edged PDRM FC 1-0, courtesy of a 42nd-minute Dominic Tan goal, at the Likas Stadium in Kota Kinabalu.
The win allowed Sabah to move up one rung to third in the standings with 39 points while PDRM remained in eighth spot with 24 points.
