SERDANG, May 8 (Bernama) -- The Malaysia Autoshow 2025 (MAS2025) kicked off today, showcasing the latest models and technologies from both global and local automotive industry leaders.

The event runs from May 8 to 15, 2025, at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS).

Among the prominent automakers showcasing their latest technology is Chery’s iCAUR sub-brand, which is focused on electric vehicles (EVs).

Developed through a collaboration between Chery and SmartMi Tech, iCAUR has previewed three fully electric sports utility vehicles (SUVs) -- the 03, 03T and V23 -- ahead of their official launches.

“We have forged an undeniable imprint in Malaysia and look forward to forging new opportunities, leveraging our leadership in new energy technology and mobility solutions,” said iCAUR Malaysia vice-president, Emily Lek, in a statement today.

The iCAUR 03 is expected to go on sale in the third quarter of 2025. It merges daring design, guided by the brand’s “i-BOX” design language, highlighting bold aesthetics, available in both two-wheel drive and intelligent wheel drive configurations.

BMW Group Malaysia also unveiled the long-wheelbase 330Li M Sport at MAS2025.

The 330Li M Sport is offered in three colours: carbon black, m brooklyn grey, and arctic race blue.

In addition, PHS Automotive Malaysia, the official distributor of Audi in Malaysia, has launched the first locally assembled Audi SUV, the Q7 line.

Priced from RM459,990, the seven-seater SUV strengthens its presence in the premium luxury segment in Malaysia and the region.

Meanwhile, Syarikat Motosikal dan Enjin Nasional Sdn Bhd (Modenas), a subsidiary of the DRB-HICOM Bhd Group, has launched four new models across three different market segments.

These include two electric scooters from the brand-new Modenas MEV series, the high-performance Kawasaki Ninja H2SX SE, and the Modenas Kymco DTX 250 scooter.

MAS2025, now in its third consecutive year, hosts 200 exhibitors and showcases over 500 vehicles. The event also serves as the platform for more than 70 new model debuts, including cars, motorcycles, EVs, and next-generation mobility solutions.

Organised by the Malaysia Automotive, Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii), MAS2025 is expected to attract over 250,000 visitors, ranging from original equipment manufacturers and component suppliers to industry leaders and members of the public.

MAS2025 has been recognised by ASEAN Records as the “Largest Outdoor Obstacle Test Drive Zone at an Autoshow”, featuring 5.1 kilometres of custom-designed driving trails.

The event also offers visitors to test-drive over 100 vehicles — from internal combustion engine models to EVs, motorcycles, and off-road 4x4s — in simulated real-world conditions.
