KUALA LUMPUR, May 5 (Bernama) -- More than 20 Malaysian food products were featured in Sweden as part of the ‘Taste of Malaysia’ promotion held at the Matvärlden Kungens Kurva, Stockholm from May 3 to 4.

Organised by the Agriculture Counsellor Office (ACO) and Tourism Malaysia in The Hague, Netherlands, in collaboration with the Malaysian Embassy in Sweden, the campaign was aimed at promoting Malaysian food products and enhancing the country’s brand presence in the Swedish market.

Among the products showcased were Malaysian snacks, biscuits, instant noodles, coffee, tea and tropical fruits such as mangosteen, dragon fruit, passion fruit and star fruit.

ACO in a statement Monday said the campaign, opened by Malaysian Ambassador to Sweden Sarimah Akbar, further highlighted Malaysia as a travel destination, providing visitors with insights into the country’s rich cultural and culinary heritage, and scenic attractions, ahead of the Visit Malaysia Year 2026 (VMY2026).

The event also served as a prelude to Malaysia’s participation in the upcoming ANUGA 2025 trade fair in Germany, scheduled for Oct 4 to 8, where local food and beverage companies are expected to further promote their products to international buyers.
