MPL MY SEASON 15: INNOCENT STEERS SRG.OG TO OPENING VICTORY

KUALA LUMPUR, April 19 (Bernama) – Selangor Red Giants (SRG.OG) Gold Laner, John Vincent Banal, better known as Innocent, delivered a stunning performance to help the defending champions secure their first victory of the 15th season of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Malaysia (MPL MY) with a 2-0 win over Team VAMOS today.

In the best-of-three (BO3) match held at Stadium Juara, Bukit Kiara, SRG.OG had a shaky start in the opening game, trailing Team VAMOS 3-5 in kills early on.

However, Michael Angelo Bocado’s (Arcadia) squad bounced back impressively when Innocent pulled off a Savage – eliminating all five opponents at the 16th minute – levelling the match.

Seizing the opportunity as the last man standing, Innocent destroyed Team VAMOS’ crystal to claim the first game for SRG.OG, despite an even kill score of 14-14 after nearly 17 minutes of play.

Riding on their momentum, SRG.OG dominated the second game with ease, overpowering Team VAMOS with a decisive 14-1 kill score.

The victory also saw Innocent crowned Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the match.
