KOTA KINABALU, April 4 (Bernama) -- Sabah Deputy Chief Minister I Datuk Seri Dr Jeffrey Kitingan announced that the theme of this year’s Kaamatan Festival is Kaamatan Untuk Semua.
Dr Kitingan, who chairs the 2025 state-level Kaamatan Festival main committee, said the theme was approved by the committee during its meeting yesterday.
"Everyone is required to use this theme in all forms of publications across mass media, print media, and social media throughout the 2025 Kaamatan Festival celebrations," said Dr Kitingan, who is also Sabah’s Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Industry.
The theme is translated as Kaamatan For All in English and Kaamatan Montok Toinsanan in the Kadazan Dusun language.
The Kaamatan Festival, also known as the harvest festival, is a traditional celebration of the Kadazan Dusun, Murut, and Rungus communities, with main events held annually on May 30 and 31.
