SULTAN NAZRIN, TUANKU ZARA GRACE CHARITY DINNER FEATURING M NASIR

IPOH, 3 May (Bernama) — The Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Shah, and the Raja Permaisuri of Perak, Tuanku Zara Salim, graciously attended the Nusantara Charity Dinner organised by the Gunung Kledang Welfare Club (KBGK) featuring Datuk M Nasir at the Ipoh Convention Centre tonight.

Their Royal Highnesses arrived at 8.40 pm and were welcomed by Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad and his wife, Datin Seri Aezer Zubir.

The royal couple were joined at the dinner by approximately 1,400 guests and enjoyed a live performance by M Nasir, who sang seven songs, including Mentera Semerah Padi, Ada, Tanya Sama Itu Hud Hud, Hati Emas, Mustika, Bonda, and Satu Hari Di Hari Raya.

KBGK also presented donations totalling RM150,000 to 10 recipients, including welfare homes, tahfiz schools, and associations, including Rumah Anak Yatim Cahaya Kasih Abie, Taman Cempaka, the Orang Asli Education Centre of Kampung Lalang, the Malay College Kuala Kangsar’s Orphaned Students Fund, and Maahad Tahfiz Al-Quran Wal-Qiraat Addin, Sungai Ular.

Meanwhile, charity dinner chairman, Norali Nordin announced that RM700,000 was raised through the sale of 140 tables.

KBGK President Muhammad Hamzah Md Hamdan stated that the club’s 2025 agenda aligns with the Perak state government’s Perak Sejahtera 2030 plan, particularly in promoting Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).

“The club pledges to support the state government’s efforts by raising awareness among Perak parents about TVET programmes. We hope our members’ expertise in this field can contribute meaningfully,” he added.
