MAKKAH, May 3 (Bernama) – Seven Tabung Haji (TH) residential buildings or ‘maktab’ here are ready to welcome 838 Malaysian Haj pilgrims arriving in stages from Madinah beginning tomorrow (May 4).
Maktab Operations director Mohd Fahmi Kamarudin said all facilities at each building had been fully prepared for the pilgrims.
"Alhamdulillah, preparations are proceeding smoothly with the first group (KT001) expected around 5 pm local time tomorrow at the Pilgrim Accommodation Building (BPJH) in Zone A, Syed Amir area.
"This will be followed by group KT002 scheduled at Land Premium Building (Zone C) at 8 pm, and KT003 at Abraj Tayseer Building (Zone B - Hafai area) around 11 pm," he said during a press conference at TH Headquarters here today.
Mohd Fahmi said that pilgrim accommodations across seven buildings were divided into three zones - A, B and C.
"Zone A (Shuib Amir) includes Abraj Al Janadriyah and Qasr Al Janadriyah; Zone B (Hafae'r) comprises Rehab Janadriyah, Abraj Al Tayseer and Diary Al-Saad; while Zone C (Misfalah) houses Land Premium and Al Fajr Al Badee 5," he said.
He added that a new accommodation building, Abraj Al-Tayseer (Zone B) located about one kilometre from Masjidil Haram, would debut this season, hosting approximately 6,700 pilgrims with comprehensive amenities.
