MELAKA, May 14 (Bernama) – More than 30,000 visitors, particularly youths, are expected to enliven the National Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Day 2025 celebration, which will take place from June 11 to 13 at the Melaka International Trade Centre (MITC) in Ayer Keroh here.
Melaka Investment, Industry and TVET Development Committee deputy chairman, Datuk Khaidhirah Abu Zahar said a variety of programmes will be held throughout the event, including seminars, workshops, and competitions focused on innovation, technology, and technical skills.
She said a total of 12 ministries are expected to be involved in organising the event, including the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), Ministry of Education (MOE), Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW), Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS), Ministry of Human Resources (KESUMA), and the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI).
“The National TVET Day 2025 celebration involves four pillars in the TVET field — the industry, institutions, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), and the MELAKA and Federal Government agencies.
“In addition, each participating ministry has its own TVET institutions, and we can learn many things about the related fields through engagement with the industry,” she told reporters here today.
Earlier, she had officiated the 'HR Insights 2025: Workforce and Payroll Transformation in Manufacturing’ seminar, which was also attended by Invest Melaka Berhad Chief Executive Officer Datuk Ginie Lim Siew Lin.
