SABAH PMR 2025: VARIOUS EXCITING ACTIVITIES AWAIT VISITORS AT COMMUNICATIONS MINISTRY'S BOOTH

TAWAU, May 9 (Bernama) — Various exciting activities await visitors at the booth of the Ministry of Communications (KKOM) at the Sabah MADANI Rakyat (PMR) 2025 Program at the Tawau Municipal Council square here for three days starting today.

A variety of engaging activities have been lined up by the ministry’s departments and agencies, including trivia games and quizzes by the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama).

There will be wheel spin, RTMKlik promotion, RTM DJ meet and greet, as well as video highlights by Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) and MyFoto, Foto Boom, Dbook and distribution of publication materials by the Information Department (Japen).

The Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) offers click advocacy programmes, a complaint counter, Safe Internet Campaign activities and Consumer Forum Malaysia Advocacy sessions.

Visitors can enjoy interactive VR Games, Kahoot Games, film promotional screenings, and meet and greet guest artistes at the booth of the Malaysian Film Development Corporation (FINAS).

Meanwhile, the Strategic and Corporate Communications Division (BKS) will hold video screenings, while the Community Communications Department (J-KOM) will distribute souvenirs to visitors.

FINAS is also scheduled to hold a pocket talk titled ‘Appreciate Creative Content’ today, while Online Safety will be held by MCMC this Sunday at the Mini Stage area.

Bernama Corporate Affairs Division Assistant Brand Manager Mohammad Suherman Anuar said the Sabah PMR 2025 programme offers an excellent opportunity for the public to get to know the Ministry of Communications and its agencies, including Bernama, while also enhancing the agency’s presence and branding among the people of Sabah.

RTM SABAHfm radio presenter Emran Azmie Rosle,  or affectionately known as DJ Gimie, said that through the programme, RTM was able to deliver various latest information, including about the RTMKlik application, which can be downloaded to allow the public to watch various television broadcasts such as TV1 and TV2, as well as radio stations, including SABAHfm.

“We at RTM are also offering various attractive prizes through the wheel spin game to enliven the Ministry of Communications’ booth and PMR 2025 Sabah,” he said.

Siti Nurjannah Binwih, 16, a student at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Tawau, expressed her excitement at the opportunity to try out the various games and quizzes offered at the ministry’s booth.

“The games are very interesting and very informative. I also like the RTM DJ, who is very friendly and even gave us a chance to take photos together," said the girl who was with a few friends.

 Meanwhile, Mohd Safwan Damsah, 35, a retail shop operator here, said he was particularly drawn to the cybersecurity information shared by MCMC,  describing it as highly valuable, especially in today’s digital era.

"There are so many online scams nowadays. I’ve learned a lot of useful tips to protect myself and my business from cyber threats. Programmes like this should be held more often to raise awareness among the community,” said Mohd Safwan, who attended the event with his family.
