KUANTAN, April 20 (Bernama) -- Tengku Ampuan Pahang Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah today graced the MILO Malaysia Breakfast Day 2025, which drew the participation of over 12,000 people from all walks of life at the Kuantan City Council (MBK) 1 field here.
In her royal address, Tunku Azizah congratulated and expressed support for MILO's long-standing role in shaping the daily lives and fond memories of Malaysians across generations.
“MILO has been present in Malaysia for 75 years, and I have personally enjoyed it since I was a child. Until today, I still drink a cup of MILO every morning. I hope your efforts in schools will continue, especially with the MILO trucks, which is what we all remember most about MILO.
“Back in school, we always looked forward to Sports Day and the MILO truck. We would queue up just to get a cup. Drink MILO — it’s good for you. I drink MILO without milk and sugar,” she said in a statement issued by Nestlé (Malaysia) Berhad.
In the same statement, Nestlé Malaysia Chief Executive Officer Juan Aranols said the support and warmth shown by the Tengku Ampuan Pahang was highly meaningful to Nestlé, as the company celebrated 75 years of MILO nourishing generations of Malaysians and its 112-year journey in the country.
“The presence of Her Royal Highness added joy to the event and motivated us to continue promoting a healthier lifestyle and a stronger, more energetic society together,” he said.
Various exciting activities were held, including the MILO Breakfast Run, zumba sessions, and the interactive MILO Goodness Truck, as well as skipping rope, football juggling and sack race events.
Special appearances by Friends of MILO - actors Nadhir Nasar and Erysha Emyra - further enlivened the event as they joined the run and mingled with fans, inspiring youths to lead active and healthy lifestyles.
Participant Atiqah Ameran, 33, said the event strengthened family and community ties, which was why she came with her children and other family members.
“I was excited after seeing the atmosphere on social media, so our family took the opportunity to experience it for ourselves. My children drink MILO every morning before school, so they were thrilled to join,” said the Taman Cenderawasih resident.
For Nor Shahila Ramli, 37, and Mohd Dzul Haimi, 39, the event provided a perfect platform for family bonding, which is why they joined with their three children.
“This is our third time participating because it’s always fun. We get to bring the family and spend quality time together. Breakfast is very important for health, and our children love having MILO every morning — MILO is a must at breakfast,” said Nor Shahila, who also took part in the run with her family.
Following the success of the programme in Putrajaya, Johor, Penang, and now Kuantan, with nearly 60,000 Malaysians participating, the MILO Malaysia Breakfast Day 2025 will continue in the next quarter in Kedah and Terengganu.
