The festive gathering saw the attendance of the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories) Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa; Labuan Member of Parliament Datuk Dr Suhaili Abdul Rahman; the Department of Federal Territories director-general Datuk Seri Noridah Abdul Rahim; LC deputy chairman Simsudin Sidek; Kuala Lumpur mayor Datuk Seri Dr Maimunah Mohd Sharif, Perbadanan Putrajaya president Datuk Fadlun Mak Ujud, and LC chief executive officer Mohd Sukuran Taib.

In her speech, Dr Zaliha said the Aidilfitri Open House exemplifies unity and fosters goodwill among the community.

“This event not only attracted the Muslim community but also non-Muslims, reflecting the harmonious coexistence and unity among the multiracial community on this island,” Dr Zaliha said.

She highlighted such community gatherings align with the MADANI government's objective of promoting unity among diverse ethnicities and religions through inclusive platforms and shared celebrations.

“This Semarak Aidilfitri which features live band performances, traditional food stalls, and activities will encourage interaction among the attendees, further strengthening community bonds,” she said.

During the event, Dr Zaliha also presented zakat (tithe) contributions totalling RM200,000 to benefit 1,000 underprivileged children, reinforcing community support and inclusivity.

She stressed the importance of Labuan progressing alongside other developing states, urging for continued focus on infrastructure and socio-economic initiatives to ensure the island’s integration into the broader national development agenda.
