SEREMBAN, April 10 (Bernama) -- The Negeri Sembilan Health Department (JKNNS) has swiftly formed an independent investigation committee in response to a complaint claiming that a patient received unsatisfactory care at Jempol Hospital.
JKNNS director Dr Zuraida Mohamed said the department is treating the matter seriously following the circulation of a viral video on social media.
She gave her assurance that the investigation would be conducted thoroughly and transparently, covering all relevant aspects to ensure justice is served for all parties involved.
“The investigation will examine all relevant aspects to determine if the allegations are substantiated, identify any shortcomings and recommend necessary improvements at the hospital,” she told Bernama when contacted today.
She added that Jempol Hospital’s management has also scheduled a meeting with the patient and her family to discuss the matter.
Yesterday, a 9-minute-19-second video posted on TikTok by user wan_takaful went viral, in which he shared his mother’s experience while receiving treatment at Jempol Hospital on April 2.
He said his mother had complained of chest pains that evening and was first treated at Klinik Kesihatan Palong 4, 5, and 6 before being referred to the hospital.
He has also filed an official complaint through the Public Complaints Management System.
