07/04/2025 09:24 PM

KOTA BHARU, April 7 (Bernama) -- River cruise is set to be Kelantan's latest tourism product and it is expected to take off in May, said state Tourism, Culture, Arts and Heritage Committee chairman Datuk Kamarudin Md Nor.

He said the service will provide tourists with the opportunity to enjoy the scenic river view along Sungai Pengkalan Datu to Tambatan Diraja.

"This service is limited to only 18 passengers at any one time. The boat will also serve traditional Kelantan dishes.

"The boat will also stop at selected places, including Laman Warisan and several historic locations around Pengkalan Datu,” he told reporters after attending the ceremony to present the Malaysia Book of Records Award to Hotel Renai here today.

Hotel Renai received three recognitions from the Malaysia Book of Records for its achievement in providing the most iftar menus in a day, the longest food stall in a hotel and the largest iftar banquet during Ramadan.

Meanwhile, Kamarudin said Hotel Renai's achievement not only made the hotel's management proud but also brought glory to the state.

"This achievement has a big impact on the perception of tourists regarding the capability of the state's hospitality sector in meeting the needs of those who visit the state,” he said.
