SEREMBAN, April 4 (Bernama) -- There has been an increase in the number of people affected by flash floods in three villages in Jelebu as of 10 am today, with 80 victims from 16 families still impacted as of 10 am today compared to 65 victims from 13 families last night.
Jelebu District Civil Defence Force officer Lt (PA) Mohd Najib Abdul Karim said the affected villages are Kampung Juntai, Kampung Lakai and Kampung Jerang.
"The water is receding but the river level is still not normal and need to be careful. It is also cloudy and, this morning, the post-flood team will focus on Kampung Lakai.
"All three villages are in low-lying areas and near rivers, thus making them prone to flooding,” he told Bernama, adding that no serious damage to property was reported.
