PUTRAJAYA, April 11 (Bernama) -- The National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK) and the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) have signed a Note of Collaboration (NoC) aimed at tackling drug abuse and corruption in the workplace.
AADK director-general Datuk Ruslin Jusoh said the initiative, known as the Drug-Free Workplace Programme (TEKAD), marks the second formal partnership in five years, aimed at reducing substance abuse, preventing misconduct and corruption, and embedding a culture of integrity across government agencies.
Under the agreement, AADK will assist MACC in promoting a drug-free work environment by offering awareness campaigns, rehabilitation support and regular urine screening for agency personnel.
In return, the MACC will support AADK’s internal governance by helping to prevent abuse of power and financial irregularities among its staff, he said in a statement today.
The note was signed by Ruslin alongside MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki.
He also noted that AADK’s Integrity Unit had received ISO 9001:2015 certification from the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH).
This makes it the first such unit in Malaysia to be certified without any non-conformance or improvement notices, and it sets a benchmark for integrity departments nationwide.
