KOTA BHARU, April 8 (Bernama) --The Kelantan Road Transport Department (RTD) issued a total of 2,941 summonses during the Hari Raya Aidilfitri (HRA) 2025 Ops starting March 24 until today.
Its director Mohd Misuari Abdullah said a total of 1,759 vehicles were fined for various offences.
"This means there is a significant decrease compared to last year, which recorded 10,639 summonses.
"This year, 8,370 vehicles were inspected compared to 31,917 vehicles last year," he said.
He told reporters after the closing of the special operation in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri (HRA) 2025 at the East Region Academy, here, today.
Misuari said the operation targeted seven offences, namely not complying with the speed limit, not complying with traffic signals, overtaking on double lines, driving in emergency lanes, reckless overtaking, cutting queue and using mobile phones.
"Among the highest offences is expired motor vehicle license (LKM) with a total of 402 notices," he said.
