GEORGE TOWN, April 8 (Bernama) -- A police officer was seriously injured after accidentally shooting himself at the Penang Contingent Police Headquarters (IPK) here today.
Penang police chief Datuk Hamzah Ahmad, who confirmed the incident when contacted by Bernama, said the 58-year-old corporal was taken to Penang Hospital and that a detailed investigation is underway.
“There is such a case, and it is still in the early stages of investigation. A statement will be issued soon," he said tonight.
