KUALA LUMPUR, May 14 (Bernama) -- Gradiant, a global leader in advanced water and wastewater solutions, has been awarded two new contracts by leading technology companies to design and deploy sustainable water solutions at new data centres in the United States and Indo-Pacific.
According to Gradiant in a statement, these facilities are critical to powering artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud infrastructure and are increasingly located in some of the most water-stressed regions in the world.
Gradiant Chief Executive Officer, Anurag Bajpayee emphasised the importance of water management in today’s climate, stating: “Building a data centre without a water strategy is not an option. These facilities are as thirsty as they are power hungry.
“Our clients are asking how to eliminate wastewater, how to operate in drought-prone regions without harming local communities, and how to do it all while scaling AI infrastructure at lightning speed.”
Gradiant’s solutions will enable these developments to meet aggressive sustainability goals while minimising their impact on local water resources and communities as the projects underscore its growing role as the go-to water partner for the AI infrastructure owners and operators.
The solutions include water recycling and reuse with zero liquid discharge (ZLD) technologies to recover and reuse 99 per cent of process water onsite, dramatically reducing the need for freshwater withdrawals and preserving local water supplies.
The company also uses its SmartOps AI platform to optimise water and wastewater operations, leveraging real-time monitoring and AI-powered analytics to minimise operational costs and unplanned downtime.
Additionally, Gradiant’s CURE chemicals help reduce the environmental impact of traditional treatment chemicals while enhancing system performance and reliability.
Uniquely positioned to help data centre owners and operators, Gradiant delivers complete site-wide peace of mind with a full-stack technology portfolio and deep expertise in complex industrial water.
