KUALA LUMPUR, April 25 (Bernama) -- Malaysia remains committed to sharing its expertise and fostering meaningful collaborations with international partners, particularly in promoting awareness and innovation within the halal ecosystem at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, which is running from April 13 to Oct 13, 2025.

Halal Development Corporation Bhd (HDC) head of Halal Integrated Platform, Mohammad Hafiz Jamaluddin, said the Expo serves as a platform for Malaysia to strengthen its position as a global halal hub, in line with the Halal Industry Master Plan 2030 (HIMP 2030).

“Through our efforts and HIMP 2030, we are strengthening Malaysia’s halal ecosystem while driving innovation and digital adoption across the value chain.

“Our goal is to position Malaysia as a trusted global partner in the halal economy—built on quality, inclusivity, and long-term collaboration,” he said in a statement issued by the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) today.

HIMP 2030 identifies digitalisation, innovation, and international outreach as key enablers for growth. In line with this vision, HDC remains focused on strengthening strategic partnerships, enhancing supply chain resilience, and expanding economic opportunities across the global halal market.

Under MITI, HDC hosted a business seminar on Malaysia’s halal industry at the Malaysia Pavilion in conjunction with the Expo 2025, which took place on April 17. The HDC showcase at the Pavilion runs from April 14 to April 19.

MITI said the seminar also provided valuable insights into Malaysia’s leadership in the global halal ecosystem, highlighting its internationally recognised certification standards, integrated infrastructure and forward-looking policies.

The ministry shared that HDC showcased its suite of digital tools and innovations at the seminar, including the Halal Navigator (HaNa), an AI-powered platform that provides information on Malaysia’s halal certification in 36 languages, and Halal Integrated Platform (HIP), which connects suppliers, logistics providers, manufacturers, and Islamic finance.

“The business seminar also featured live demonstrations of halal Rapid Test Kits, which reinforce the scientific credibility of Malaysia’s halal standards, along with three targeted Pocket Talks throughout the week,” it added.
