Sapura Energy Secures RM40 Mln Offshore Facilities Contract

KUALA LUMPUR, April 9 (Bernama) -- Sapura Energy Bhd’s wholly owned subsidiary, Sapura Fabrication Sdn Bhd, has secured a RM40 million contract for maintenance, construction and modification services for offshore facilities in Peninsular Malaysia.

Sapura Fabrication, under its operations and maintenance (O&M) business division, will undertake work that covers topside major maintenance, facilities improvement, hook-up and commissioning for brownfield and greenfield facilities, riser maintenance, pig trap system maintenance, and living quarters maintenance.

“This includes project management, engineering, and construction management for both onshore and offshore activities, as well as the provision of relevant tools and services,” Sapura Energy said in a statement.

The contract, which took effect on March 10, 2025, is for six months, with an option for an additional six-month extension.

Sapura Energy chief executive officer for O&M Nasri Mehat said the group takes great care in ensuring that clients’ facilities remain safe and operate at optimum efficiency.
